Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Tahqeeqi Jareeda is a bi-annual Research Journal of Urdu Language & Literature. It is a bi-lingual, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access publication meticulously curated by the esteemed Department of Urdu at GC Women University in Sialkot, Pakistan

  1. All articles in Tahqeeqi Jareeda are published according to the rules and regulations set by HEC.
  2. All articles go through rigorous double blind peer review process before publishing which could take two to three months.
  3. Tahqeeqi Jareeda is published bi-annually in June and Dec. Dead-line of article submission for Research Journal “Tahqeeqi Jareeda” is as under: For Jan – June Issue: 1st March to 05th March For July – Dec Issue: 1st August to 05th August Please consider the above mentioned timeline for submission.
  4. Articles submitted in Tahqeeqi Jareeda must not to be sent anywhere else for publishing before getting known about acceptance or rejection.
  5. The mentioned category for Tahqeeqi Jareeda is Urdu and other local languages. Therefore, authors should carefully consider the scope of the journal before submitting a manuscript.
  6. The language of the Journal is Urdu and English. Manuscripts should be written in these two languses only preferably in Urdu any research regarding reghional languges, cultures and civilization of Pakistan is also considered in this regard. 
  7. Do not send translations or creative writings like Ghazal, Nazm, etc.
  8. Before sending articles please check these take care of these matters.
    1. Articles must be in composed form. Soft copy is necessary as well hard copy.
    2. Articles must be accompanied by an abstract (100-300 words) in English.
    3. Title, Keywords, Name of the Researcher and affiliation of the researcher should be provided in English also.
    4. Complete address and contact details should be provided
    5. Attach an affidavit in which clearly mention that the article is not submitted, under consideration for publication or printed elsewhere.
    6. Soft copy must be in MS. Word format with following settings. Document type = A4, argins = 1” , Font = Jameel Noori Nastaliq, Font size= 13, Font size of abstract=13.
    7. Article must include references/ footnotes at the end of the article, otherwise it is not acceptable.
    8. Please follow this structure for references: (Author, Book, Publisher, Address, Year, Page)

Note: All research Articles that are accepted for publication in Tahqeeqi Jareeda expressed the view points of the respective author. So, every article is the sole responsibility of the writer whilst Editorial Committee and GC Women University Sialkot have no responsibility in this regard. Editorial Committee has the right to make occasional changes to meet the Journal requirements.
