Abstract
The tradition of translation covers numerous variety of languages in the
scope of literature .It directs a person to convert, a piece of writing of one
language into another keeping in mind the meaning of words and idioms of that
language, provided it is expressed in the same way as the anthor intends it to
.Among the many principles of translation, when it comes to translating English
works into Urdu, one must be careful not to make the process complicated by
using compound sentences.The translation should not distort the actual meaning
which the another intends to convey . In this matter linguists have set some rules
which help address the problem regarding translation of English words in Urdu
.In short, the translator must keep in mind that his work does not hinder in
keeping the interest of the reader and should be simple enough to understand.
