Thematic Study of Pakistani and Indian Prose Poem: Commanalities and Dissimilarities

Abstract

The effect of the political, social, cultural and geographical
conditions is depicted in the writings of any writer. Prose Poem
written after the partition of sub-continent Indo-Pak is the subject of
this article. It aims at highlighting the point how the different
conditions prevailing in both the countries have had their impact on
the poets of prose poem. For this purpose, prose poems of the
representative poets belonging to Pakistan and India are presented
here. A comparative study is made to bring to light the thematic
Commonalities and dissimilarities of the prose poem written by the
poets of both the countries.
