Existance of Social Conscience in short Stories of Bedi

Abstract

Rajinder Singh Bedi stands prominent among the twentieth century
Urdu fiction writers. He has taken Urdu short story to new heights
with his novel ideas and artistic excellence. He has offered a truthful
representation of ethical human values in his fiction. The subject
matter of his short stories distinguishes him from his contemporaries.
Bedi has a keen eye on society. In his fictions, he has portrayed
various aspects of society with his modern consciousness. He has
artistically clarified the psychological aspects of human relationships
with social faces. Bedi has described the realities of life with
imagination and in a soft and gentle tone.
