Abstract

The Literary world knows Faiz Ahmad Faiz (1911-1984) as a
progressive and revolutionary poet, but he was an editior of great
professional importance. In this article scholars have traced the
record of P.P.L and the Pakistani Times and proved with historic
evidences that Quaid-e-Azam was infact the founder of Pakistan
Times. This newspaper started its publication in 1947, at a time when
Muslim League and the new Country needed its spokesman. By
appointing this renowned scholar and poet as editior in chief, the
paper and the employer raised its credibility. This paper emerged as
bold voice of All India Muslim League. Faiz Ahmad Faiz portrayed
national and international realism in his paper's editorials and
columns. However the paper and its editor faced many hardships by
the rulers.
