Jeelani Bano kay Naswani kirdar
Abstract
The advent of British in the subcontinent paved path for a new era.
Different novelists in Urdu literature have expressed this perspective in different
expressions. Jillani Bano’s novel “Awan-e-Ghazal” also shows depiction of the
same thoughts. Jillani Bano is often known to be a writer who advocates women.
In her works, the fair sex is often an innocent creature who is victimized by a man’s
tyranny, one way or another. In this vein Awan-e-Ghazal is not only a metaphor
for an entire civilization but it also sheds light on the changes which occur in the
lives of future generations.
