Abstract

In Pakistani short story, the decade of seventy is the most important
because it was the era of total fear of martial law, dangerous condition of politics
and society was under the pressure of these problem.There is an old saying that
literature written the reflection of act of society.Therefore, in this decade, the
short story was the most powerful type of literature to express all impressions and
emotions.Most prominant short story writers of this decade are '' Intizar Hussain,
Anwer Sajjad, Khalida Hussain , Rasheed Amjad , Masood Asher, Mansha Yaad,
Ejaz Rahi, Ahmed Javed, Asad Muhammad Khan, Ahmed Dawood and Mirza
Hamid Baig.
