Tahira ki Ghazal k Chand Muntakhib Taarajim

Abstract

"Qurat-ul-Ain Tahira is the most popular and controversial
poet of Persian literature. Due to her rebellious thoughts and
provoking poetry, she was martyred in her youth. She was bold,
beautiful and courageous. Her ideas were confronting the
contemporary religious values and norms. Tahira was a great
champion of feminism. She is admired all over the world by virtue of
her beautiful melodious poetry. In this article some of the translations
of her most popular ghazal "Chehra Bachehra Rubru" are discussed
in a brief way."
