The Importance of Lullaby in Children’s Literature

Abstract

Lullaby or berceuse is one of the important emotional and lovely part
of literature especially literature for kids. It is basically a quite song
intended to lull a child to sleep and established where of the word in
specific and particular form according language atmosphere and
civilization. It is basically pray, love and emotional expressions of
mother for infants which is a magical mechanism for their sleeping
and rest. It contains short stories of legends, heroes and sometime of
bold and brave soldiers. Berceuse is very famous in all languages of
our country especially in Pashto, Urdu and Punjabi. The importance
of berceuse is remarkable in kid’s literature because the infant also
feels its effect of love, satisfaction and security. Berceuse is the
collections of all love, affection and peace which shows the heart and
soul wanted dreams and hopes of a mother for her kid.
