Abstract

Genre of novel was borrowed from the west and it shifted
here. The West gave birth to very ideology and it becomes an integral
part of Urdu literature through novel. Old genres of story, fable and
fiction of Urdu literature got a new name called novel. Through this
research paper, it has been endeavoured; there are shortcomings in
structure, plot topic style, characterization, dialogue. Despite this
shortcoming, we can't deny this point that the earliest writers shaped
novel in its true sense by giving story a new dimension.
Consequently, Urdu tales were transformed into a new refined look.
It can be said that the earliest novelists realized echoes of regional
and international changes and molded their art and ideology
accordingly. In contemporary Urdu novel culminated to a lofty point
and the earliest novelists contributed a lot in this regard.
