Abstract

Many thinkers and ideologists have expressed their distinctive
views regarding death. This is very important topic carrying a
universal theoratical importance. That is why Urdu poets have dealt
with this topic in their various generas. Many poets have stated death
as a mean of reflection of life. This dissertation highlights the concept
of death as viewed by Meer, Hali, Ghalib and Akbar Ilah Abadi.
Moreover these poets while elaborating the vastness of life and its
contemporary possibilities have declared death as such an experience
which works as a root of life.
