Urdu language and literature and Pakistaniyat

Abstract

Short after the creation of Pakistan, hot debates started about
the identity of Pakistani literature and culture. With the passage of
time, Pakistani literature developed its unique identity from from
cultural, linguistic and scholarly perspectives. Shortly, Pakistani
literature started to illustrate a special tone and mood of its own .This
helped Pakistani literature make itself compatible with Pakistani
culture, regional culture, national though and dreams of the people.
To explore this, a brief overview of impact of pakistaniyat on Urdu
literature will be presented.
