Abstract

The history of any society or any nation remains incomplete without
folk literature. Folk literature represents social, political, economical
and psychologial trends of its age. Saraiki poetry, in the form of CHarfi, based upon religious and mystic poetry, can still be found
treasured up. This genre is equally popular in Saraiki, Punjabi and
Sindhi its individuality among the rest. Its themes are the oneness of
Allah, love for the last Prophet , صلى الله عليه وسلمthe feeting nature of this world,
social representation, human psychology, morality, love and beauty.
Such themes render it unique and everlasting .
