This research paper presents a detailed analytical study of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s balanced concept of womenhoodas reflected in his private and family letters. Unlike extreme traditional or purely modern perspectives, Iqbal’s view of women is founded on balanced, dignity,moral responsibility and intellectual development His private correspondence reveals that he considered women central to family stability, ethical training of future generations, and the moral reconstruction of society. Through an examination of letters written to family members,Atiya Faizi and other contemporary women,the study highlight Iqbal’s emphasis on female education, character building,self-respect and social awareness. These letters provide a practical interpretation of his philosophical ideas, showing how his thoughts on womenhood were applied in everyday life rather than remaining abstract theories. The research also demonstrates that Iqbal’s family letters offer a clear and realistic picture of his views on women, where affection, guidance and responsibility coexist. The study concludes that Iqbal’s concept of womenhood is reformative, balanced and deeply relevant to contemporary discussions on women’s roles in education, family and society.
