Critical Analysis of Punjabi Poetry of Mir Tanha Yousafi

Abstract

Mir Tanha Yousafi is an eminent author of Punjabi and Urdu
language. Although he is a great fiction writer but he has also made a
contribution towards poetry. He has composed Punjabi Ghazal and
Nazam. His poetic work in Punjabi language “Keekar Nu Pach”
published in 2016 which is still not analyzed by any researcher or
critic. His Punjabi poetry is a beautiful amalgam of poetic art, thought
and form. He has presented a very realistic picture of modern society.
He strikes us though his poetry that our society is astoundingly
selfish, insensible and hard – hearted. Moreover, he has practiced
many Punjabi poetic genres in this creation. In this research article an
attempt has been made to analyze his genres, themes, diction,
allusions and other literary devices with suitable references from the
text.
