Rajinder Singh Beidi’s work is renowned for exploring the psychology of his characters. During the colonial Era of the sub-continent, Beidi observed the deprivation, and unfulfilled longing of the locals due to the colonial masters. Beidi weaves the threads of his stories from everyday matters. And is therefore called God of themes. Many of his stores depict the financial exploitations by colonizers. The Britishers were drawing the wealth and resources from the sub-continent and taking the back to the British rules. While the British Empire was flourishing, the colonized audiences were left helpless and poor this paper, through textural analysis of Bedi’s selected short stores explores the ways the imperialists were exploiting the locals through disorientation hand on colour, creed, race and religion using the works of Edward said and Franz fanon as theoretical framework, the paper seeks the analyze the ways Beidi highlights the exploits of the British Empire in the Sub-Continent.
