Abstract

Resistance means not only to oppose every possible form of oppression and exploitation, but also to stand up against oppression and exploitation in literature or in practice. The multiple colors of resistance are found in the short stories of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the beginning to the present era. There are intellectual and artistic elements of resistance against class, gender and religious oppression and exploitation in the Urdu short stories of Farigh Bukhari, Raza Hamdani, Mazhar Gilani, Syed Amjad Altaf, Sahar Yousafzai, Fahmida Akhtar, Munawwar Rauf, Ejaz Rahi, Yusuf Aziz Zahid, Anwar Khawaja, Mushtaq Shabab, Owais Qarni and Izharullah izhar. The different shades of sexual, social, political resistance could be seen and observed in the short stories of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. In this research paper, a scholarly analysis of the different forms of resistance in the fictions of the above fiction writers has been analyzed in full detail
