Elements of progressivism in Zaheer Kashmiri's Essays

Abstract

Zaheer Kashmiri is one of the leading personalities in the Urdu
literature. He has created excellent literature in poetry, criticism and
drama. He was an authoritative progressive thinker and writer.
Throughout his life, he played an important role in the practical
politics of the left, although his ghazal is painted in a classical color
but his critique revolves entirely around progressive thought. His
articles are key to progressive criticism of Urdu literature. In this
article, elements of progressivism will be explored in his articles and
it will be seen how he has looked at other poets and Urdu literature
through progressive criticism
