Mental turbulence is on important bent of in the 21st century novel. An individual of this era is a victim of different and numerous political, social, economic and psychological factors. The individual has been mentally pressurized by the modern fast changing world and uncertain situations. He has been puzzled by internal and external pressures. The 21st century novelists have depicted the mental turbulence, religious friction, political ups and downs, existential crisis, terrorist incidents, social difference, women's psychology, social chains and a common person's mental and physical exploitation from different perspectives. Increasing materialism, unemployment, social inequalities, sense of loneliness, lack of security, variation in values, and identity crises have engulfed the modern man from every side. The 21st-century Pakistani novel reflects the lifestyle, issues, and mental traits of the modern man.
