Dr. Javed Iqbal as the Critic of Iqbal, in the Context of Zinda Rood

Abstract

Zinda Rood (a biography book) written by Dr. Javed Iqbal is one of
the basic important sources to understand Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
This biography is comprising three volumes which were published in
1979, 1981 and in 1984 respectively. In this book, Javed Iqbal
recalled the personal life aspects of Allama Iqbal as a father, as a man
and as a poet. The author of this article presents the critical and
thoughtful analysis to understand Iqbal with a different and liberal
approach. Iqbal Shanasi is a renowned term now to understand the
writings of Allama Iqbal in the history of Urdu literature. This article
shows the salient features of Iqbal shanasi of Dr. Javed Iqbal (his son
and the writer).
