This study offers a comparative analysis of Qurra-tul-Ain Haider and Umaira Ahmed, positioning them within Elite Literature and Popular Literature in Urdu fiction. Qurra-tul-Ain Haider, a leading figure of Elite Literature, is known for her profound historical consciousness, cultural complexity, philosophical depth and artistic sophistication in novels such as Aag Ka Darya, Mere Bhi Sanam Khane and Chandni Begum. In contrast, Umaira Ahmed represents Popular Literature through her emotionally intense, accessible narratives and strong moral-spiritual themes in works like Peer-e-Kamil, La Hasil and Man-o-Salwa, which resonate widely with readers. The research concludes that while Elite Literature emphasizes intellectual engagement and aesthetic innovation, Popular Literature excels in emotional accessibility and mass appeal.
