Suchai aur Sarmasti par Sachal Sarmast kay Shair ki Assas

Abstract

Abdul wahab popularly known as Sachal Sarmast(1739-1827) is one of the
greatest Sufi poet of Pakistan. His poetry is available in Persian, Urdu, Sindhi and
Seraiki with the same frequency of rhythm, rhyme and impression. His poetry
reminds the critical idiom of Longinu s i.e The Sublime. Major factors being
Truth and ecstasy which are basic components of Sachal's poetry. In this paper
salient features of the great mystic poet of Urdu, Persian, Sindhi and Seraiki have
been elucidated with various examples.
